BMW 이사장 피에터 노타에 따르면, 이미 4만 명의 사람들이 미니 쿠퍼 SE에 대한 관심을 보이며, 사전 예약을 마쳤다고 한다. 미니 쿠퍼 SE의 본격적인 생산은 2019년 11월에 시작될 예정이며, 예상 가격은 3만 달러에서 3만 8천 달러 선이다.
