Hypebeast hosted its first-ever Hypebeast Country Club during Coachella with a Hypegolf tournament, tennis, pool party, and brand activations

Re-imagining the traditional country club experience through a modern and cultural lens, Hypebeast Country Club debuted at Palm Spring, CA with a 2-day event at the PGA West Stadium course and La Quinta Resort & Club. Held on April 15 and 16, the event expanded the lifestyle of the golf and tennis space with highly-curated event activations, alongside a pool party, to usher in a new era of sports and entertainment for a festival-going crowd.

On April 15, the first Friday of the Coachella weekend, the Hypebeast Country Club kicked off a new wave of energy on La Quinta’s PGA West Stadium Course. Overlooking a scenic mountain range, the Hypegolf journey immersed modern-day golfers through an 18-hole shotgun start with unique experiences at each hole and beverages provided by Michelob ULTRA served throughout the course. The tee box at hole 6 showcased the Clubhouse Archives collection of both wearables in the Metaverse and in real life. At hole 8, golf and technology merged with Five Iron Golf’s TrackMan golf radar, which mapped key data parameters and captured golf swings with a built-in HD video camera. Hopping on NOCTA golf carts with hats from Trap Golf, the 16th hole featured a Rimowa moment inside the 18-foot bunker. At hole 17, Psycho Bunny hosted a takeover on a par 3, before players headed to the award ceremony at the 19th hole to enjoy music and signature cocktails from X by Glenmorangie, and a mobile golf simulator by Dryvebox.

Continuing the momentum on the second day, Hypebeast and Sergio Tacchini, a world known Italian sportswear brand, took over La Quinta’s tennis courts and hosted programming that included racket customization, lessons and a bar sponsored by Michelob ULTRA. At the same time, a day-long pool party took place at La Quinta Resort & Club featuring DJ sets sponsored by CÎROC and a Psycho Bunny cabana for guests to enjoy refreshments and customised merchandise.

The 2-day event offered a first-of-its-kind inclusive experience that merged sports, contemporary style, art and music, all in collaboration with exciting brands and saw attendance of notable guests such Ty Dolla $ign, Brice Butler, Jacob Goliday, Jorge Thimsen, Kevin Liles, Hailey Ostrom, Paris Hilinski, Blake Webber, Jacques Slade, Roger Steele, Hally Leadbetter among others.
